Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-02.
GardenSteps is operated by Contenza K/S, Holmgade 8, 6430 Nordborg, Denmark (CVR 43349023). By buying or using a GardenSteps course you agree to these terms.
What you buy
A personal, non-transferable licence to use the course or courses you paid for. A single course has no subscription and no time limit: it is yours for as long as we run the course. If we ever close a course, we will give you at least 12 months' notice and a way to download its summary sheets. The price is shown at checkout in pounds sterling.
The all-access pass
The all-access pass gives you every GardenSteps course for 12 months from the date of purchase, including courses we release during that time. It is a one-off payment and does not renew automatically. We email you about a month before it ends; if you renew, the new 12 months start when your current pass ends. When a pass ends, access to the courses it opened ends too, but any summary sheets and handouts you have downloaded are yours to keep, and any course you bought separately stays yours.
Your account
You sign in with a secure link sent to your email address. Courses are for your own use: please don't share your login, videos or handouts. We may suspend accounts that are shared or used to copy content.
Content
All lessons, videos, questions, flashcards and handouts are © GardenSteps, except the photographs, which are used under the licences credited on each page and in the videos. You may print handouts for your own use. GardenSteps is independent and not affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society. We may improve or add to lessons over time.
Using the advice
We take care to keep our courses accurate and in line with published RHS guidance, but plants, gardens and weather vary. Use your judgement and work safely. Call a qualified tree surgeon for large trees, ladders or chainsaws. Before cutting trees, check for Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas, and never disturb an active bird's nest.
Cancellation and refunds
See our refund policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
